Board & cardboard laminating

We produce the selection of a high-quality adhesives for laminating corrugated cardboard and gray cardboard and also for laminating pre-treated BOPP, PET, and acetate films/foils to diverse materials.

The litho-laminating process enables creating a high quality, litho-printed surface of corrugated board. The laminating process may use a reel or individual sheets of corrugated board as the carrier, while the top liner is normally printed and coated paper, cardboard from a pre-printed reel or a stack of individual printed sheets.

A gluing unit (rollers) applies the adhesive to the flute tips (open flute) or to the top layer of the carrier substrate and aligns it with the printed top sheet.

The choice of the appropriate adhesive should be made according to the capability of litho-laminating line which depends on the exact configuration of the units included and on the quality of gluing materials.

Mitol offers a wide selection of high-quality adhesives for laminating pre-treated BOPP, PET, and acetate films/foils to diverse materials such as printed and non-printed papers and cardboards. For quality lamination, the surface tension of films should be min. 38 Mn/m.
